Designing Stretcho
After we tested the taped index cards on the floor, the magic marker drawn shower curtain , and figured out the playing rules, the Stretcho Game needed to be designed so that I could get prototypes and test them with kids. For this task, I collaborated with a designer by the name of Alyssa Quinn.
In addition to talking about the Stretcho product, Alyssa gave me an overview of Photoshop and Illustrator which are software programs she used to turn my sketches and drawings of the game into artistic files that I can send to the printer of the mat and the decks of cards. (Photoshop uses pixels while Illustrator uses vectors to display an image.) I also learned about “typography” and “branding” and we talked about the box packaging for Stretcho which we’re now working on.
